Most common Questions
A. We use SKYNCARE Solaris, an advanced medical grade system which offers non-ablative Fractional Erbium Glass treatments enabling skin resurfacing and remodelling. This advanced technology provides the very best balance of clinical results, speed of treatment and client comfort.
A. The treatment works by creating controlled micro-thermal zones in the skin tissue, which stimulates the body's healing processes. As a result, new collagen and elastin (essential for skin firmness and elasticity) is stimulated. As the skin repairs itself, old damaged cells are replaced with healthy new cells, leading to an improved skin texture, tone, reduced wrinkles and overall youthfull appearance. As a non-ablative and non-invasive procedure, Fractional Erbium Laser allows minimal downtime.
A. The exact number of sessions will vary depending on the skin condition to be treated and it's severity. We recommend between 2 - 6 laser treatments, however this is a generalisation until a full consultation has been given.
A. The most common after effect is dryness and redness of the skin that can last for a day or so. Slight blistering can occur but this is very rare and will clear up within a few days. In darker skin types, changes in skin colour can occur and you will be advised of any adjunct treatment necessary to prevent this.
A patch test is always carried out prior to any treatment to assess individual skin responses.
A. Yes. Lasers have been used in medicine for over 30 years and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that the treatment can lead to skin disorders or any increased risk of skin cancer. Extensive clinical trials for laser and IPL treatments have resulted in a very safe technique with a minimal risk of side effects.
A. The treatment should be avoided by anyone who is:
Hypersensitive to light, suffering from live cold sores in the treatment area, suffering from vitiligo (skin pigment loss), keloid scars, pregnant. A full medical history will be taken prior to any treatment being offered to exclude any problems.
A. You will need to book a consultation. A £20.00 fee applies for consultations covering an appointment time of 30-60 minutes. A thorough consultation is imperative to ensure clients are advised of the best procedures for them. This is to assess your needs, advise you of our expectations and recommendations for treatment. We will then patch test to ensure that your skin reacts to the Laser or IPL in the predicted way. Contact us via Whatsapp, text or Messenger.
